"We are going to have a baby supply drop off sponsored by Long's Chapel kids. It will be for boys and girls in China. China is so big that they are only allowed to have 1 kid and usually they choose to keep the boy, to carry on the family name. All the rest of the kids get sent to orphanages and they only get fed once a day. They are not played with or anything. They are just fed and then left alone for the rest of the day. We are going to collect stuff like baby oil, powdered milk, toys, clothes, diapers, blankets, books, and more. We are going to try to collect as many supplies as we can. Did you know that they are also not allowed to praise God and if they do they get sent to jail and sometimes killed? We wish we could change the bad laws of China, and the bad things they do to the people that live there. It will help if lots of churches pitch in, but for now we will just try our best to help, and maybe change will happen some day."
Items may be droped off in the Children's Area at the end of the hallway by Mrs. Leah's office. You do not have to be in M&M to participate! We will collect items until the end of October.
It isn't too late to join us in M&M!! For the next two weeks we will be exploring the world of India! Wednesday nights, 6:15-7:30 p.m.
